Your Key Responsibilities

You will join the Systems Engineering team and work closely with the other members and the customers to translate complex functional and technical requirements into detailed product plans and product implementations and/or integration.

You will define and maintain robust, scalable, standards driven, adaptable architectures that can change in synchronization to ever changing business needs.

You will be an active member of the a 6-10 men team focusing on the specification and rollout of new use cases through the complete agile software development life-cycle from design, implementation, testing to product delivery.

Your Key Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years experience in solution architect/development role in a software company
• Experience working with agile development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
• Ability to see how parts interact as a whole (big picture thinking)
• Understanding of application and systems engineering
• Very strong grasp of tiered solutions, service orientated architecture, cloud computing
• Very strong grasp of networking technologies
• Very strong grasp of various database solutions (RDBMS, xml, graph)
• Very strong grasp of Java (J2EE), server-side technologies
• Understanding of mobile platforms, in particular Windows Mobile
• Solid problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret product requirements accurately
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business requirements
• Advanced oral and written communication skills in English

Compensation Plan

Appear provides a market-level salary package, in addition an attractive pension, sick-leave insurance, performance bonus and stock-option plans.

Location & Contact

Full time, Kista, Sweden, with possible traveling in Europe.
