Role Overview
We are now looking for a Frontend Developer for our Battlelog team. You will design and develop modern social networking web applications that leverage real-time web technology, scale to millions of users and handle terabytes of data. Professional design, responsiveness and usability are key properties as the system provides real-time updates of a very complex data set to the users. You will be part of a small, highly skilled, agile development team that operates on the frontlines of software technology in a startup-like environment.
We believe that you have
- At least 4 years professional experience of web development with a focus on front-end components
- Experience of web frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Django/Python, or Drupal/PHP.
- Good understanding of modern web development, including JavaScript development, HTML5 and real-time web techniques.
- Good understanding of the usability and design of web applications.
- Experience of social services, i.e. sites like Facebook and Twitter is advantageous.
- Experience of Python is advantageous.
- A master’s degree in computer science or similar education is advantageous.
- Strong language skills – excellent spoken and written English is a must, and preferably Swedish as well.
- You are familiar with or have experience of agile development methods like Scrum.
- You are a software generalist that easily learn and master new software technologies; knowledge of a wide range of languages and platforms is a plus.
