alaTest wants to make sure that never happens again. We analyze thousands of review sources from all over the world, and provide comparisons of the strengths and weaknesses of most consumer products on the market. By helping consumers choose the best products in the field we hope to push the quality of all tech products upwards.
We do this by working with the following techniques:
Statistical Analysis of products and their reviews, Statistical Matching between products and reviews, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining and Opinion Mining. All built on a scalable infrastructure using open source software and modern web technologies like Pylons, Solr and REST.
Our website is currently available in 19 countries and 13 languages. In addition to this we have established business partnerships with a number of leading websites such as PriceRunner, Kelkoo, SonyEricsson, Philips, SIBA and many others.
We are now looking for an inspiring and skilled team lead!
Together with the rest of the team you’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining the logic and infrastructure of the whole data flow that is a central part of the alaTest business. From fetching data sources like partner feeds and websites and loading the data into the database to making it available through an API and to the website.
As a team lead you will lead a number of skilled developers working according to the agile process Kanban. Your key responsibility will be to coach the team members and continuously improve both work processes and improve the work flow of the team.
We see that you have:
A solid understanding of Python or Java an academic degree in computer science or mathematics a good ability to work as a part of a team good oral and written communication skills (English)
