About the role

As Database administrator at Paynova you will become a key person for their IT where you ensure the performance and availability for the organizations users by proactively working with Paynova’s servers and databases. In addition, you work on building and optimizing databases in Linux and Windows environment in order to facilitate the agile work in the organization.

”Tailor-made payment solutions”

You will be a part of their operations team that handles the business’s production environment. Furthermore, you will work closely with the development team and other stakeholders.

Your responsibility

  • Prepare documentation and specifications
  • Manage periodic database maintenance by upgrading, backup, recovery and migration
  • Profile the databases and optimize if necessary
  • Produce ad hoc reports to stakeholders
  • Application operation, monitoring, alarm management, restart and troubleshooting
  • Release/Deployment

About you

You have

  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience of working with MSSQL, PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Experience in optimizing large, complex SQL issues
  • Knowledge of best practices concerning relational databases
  • Experience working in an operating environment
  • Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows
