We are looking for a Chief Marketing Officer, CMO, who can help us not only to get this product into the hands of the people, but to create a movement. A person who is excited about how they can apply their skills to support people’s lives at scale. 29k is a non-profit foundation that together with world-leading researchers build transformational experiences that change peoples lives. Why are we doing this? Because we believe that scaling wiser decision making is desperately needed for a more sustainable society and world.
29k, initiated by the Norrsken and Ekskäret Foundations, is a non-profit on a mission to build a free and open platform for personal development that is available for all. Backed with research partners at Karolinska Institute, Harvard University and University of London, 29k has a 5-year goal of improving the lives of 5 million people and a long-term goal to reach a threshold where we see systematic change in the world.
29k:s app was recently soft-launched – already with 5-star rating in the Appstore, over 30,000 new users and coverage in over 150 countries. They are looking for a CMO that shares the ambition to positively change as many lives as possible.
You will be a part of a dedicated team of skilled and motivated people that truly believe the world can and needs to be changed for the better. As a Chief Marketing Officer you will be part of the management team and have the overall responsibility for how 29k is packaged and communicated. With a senior marketing profile you also have some serious experience from handling a complex line-up of stakeholders – knowing how to give them clarity and context. You know how to maximize reach and conversion, only this time it is not for financial gain but for the greater good. And that said, yes conversions are great and needed, but even more important is communication with integrity, trustworthiness and meaning.
You have experience of creating and running global campaigns that leans more towards the magic of building community and movement than pushing a shiny new product. You have excellent networking skills and are as happy discussing facts with a scientist as talking trends with an influencer. To be trustworthy we think you need to at least have set out on your own personal journey to be the best version of you.
