About the role
Toca Boca captures the spirit of play by creating digital toys designed from the kids perspective. They are now on a path to creating a new multiplayer digital playground and they seek a technical director to join the team.
As the Technical Director you will lead the technical vision of this new exciting challenge together with a highly engaged and creative team. You will be setting new infrastructure, processes and coaching a team to deliver a new play experience for kids.
Your responsibilities
- Plan, structure and assess the technical setup and infrastructure needs to deliver a multiplayer game across multiple feature teams and platforms
- Support, coach and guide the programming team in how they are structured, how they prioritise and how they deliver features to a multiplayer game
- Plan, structure and assess live operational needs and technical infrastructure
- Work with the project leads to facilitate good team work and continually iterate on their development processes
About you
- You’re excited by technical challenges and building something new and innovative in teams
- You can be the champion for the technical needs and requirements for the project, possessing a strategic mindset and the ability to get teams on board
- You are a people person and build engagement in teams
- You have experience leading teams as a Lead software engineer or technical director and have led development teams
- You have experience in multiplayer game development and preferably have built something from start to a launch
- You have an understanding how to support live operations and updates within team setup, processes and infrastructure and services
