Clarins is one of the world’s leading skin care, cosmetics and perfume manufacturers. In 2021, Clarins will launch its Direct to Customer digital strategy in the Nordics, launching three websites, with three languages and three currencies across Sweden, Denmark and Norway, allowing Nordic consumers to purchase products directly from Clarins for the first time.
Clarins has engaged Safemind to find two key individuals to enable the launch of this new e-commerce business.
Given the significant challenge this represents, both individuals will require relevant knowledge and experience as well as a driven and entrepreneurial mindset. The right candidates will have a sophisticated understanding of e-commerce in the Nordics, how to engage consumers online and how to drive business across multiple digital channels.
Clarins wishes to find an E-Commerce Manager and Digital Acquisition Manager to be “on the ground” and drive the digital business across the region. Preparation for the launch is already underway and these two individuals will join forces with Clarins Brand Marketing, Social Media, Digital and Export teams in Geneva.
The focus for the E-Commerce Manager will be to take ownership of all aspects of the new websites in terms of build, testing, launch and ongoing management including animation plans, email marketing, customer care and reporting. Starting in early 2021, you will be a key figure during the preparation phase leading up to the launch of the three websites, ensuring all content is accurate, localised and translated correctly. You will be a central point of contact for local agencies and also critical to the ongoing running of the new business.

To succeed in this role you will have extensive e-commerce management experience in the Nordics, ideally having been involved in the launch of a Direct to Customer digital business before, ideally covering Sweden, Norway and Denmark. As a person you are energised by a challenge, with an entrepreneurial mindset and a high level of self-motivation. You will be versatile, analytical and equally happy to involve yourself in strategic as well as operational activities as the role evolves.
