About the role

As Senior Web Analyst you will have a critical role within Ahlsell’s digital journey. This is both a strategic and hands-on analytics role where you will be a key contributor to building great digital customer experiences on desktop, mobile, and app combining smart tracking with great analysis. In this role, you will develop, drive the web analytics strategy, and implement optimization strategies to address business requirements and to resolve issues that cause obstacles/abandonment for users and that adversely impact conversion rates. 

This person will help to drive the analysis of conversion rates across digital assets, performing ad-hoc site/app performance and conversion analysis, prioritizing the delivery of hypothesis-based UX changes that deliver on business objectives and KPI. You will share your know-how and work closely with product owners, UX/UI, content, and technology teams analyzing key metrics and customer behavior to optimize the customer experience. This role also involves segment user analysis and help to optimize user digital experiences in line with insights. You will be a part of the new e-commerce team but also cooperate with the advanced analytics team.

Who are you?

To be successful in this role we see that you have several years of experience in working in a similar role in a fast-paced digital agency, e-commerce, or high-volume transactional environment. You have a vast knowledge of Digital Marketing including analytical methods & metrics within areas such as customer acquisition, retention, churn-prevention, loyalty, and segmentation. You are an excellent communicator with a proven ability to explore large datasets and summarize key insights from analyzing the same, for the understanding of other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is an analytical, data-driven, and systematic thinker, who is naturally curious about customer behavior and passionate about using data to improve performance.

Skills & experience

  • Expertise in executing and measuring the performance of A/B and multivariate tests
  • Experience in quantitative/qualitative research practices including benchmarking, competitive intelligence, desk research, etc.
  • Experience in qualitative research methodologies e.g. usability testing, in-depth interviews

Technical skills & experience

  • Web/app analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, Firebase, Segment or similar
  • Tag management tools e.g. GTM, Tealium, or similar
  • Knowledge of usability testing software tools, either/both remote/in-person testing tools
  • Professional fluency in Swedish and English

We hope you have

  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) experience
  • Enterprise/BI reporting/dashboarding tools e.g. Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI or similar
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of web/app speed/performance technical analysis tools
  • Web development and frontend knowledge e.g. HTML, CSS, Javascript
