On behalf of one of our clients, we are currently looking for a Digital Portfolio Manager.

The Portfolio Planning unit is responsible for coordinating and managing the company’s digital product portfolio planning and will continuously reassess and govern the portfolio. The unit is responsible for the process around the planning as well as deciding which tools to use for that specific purpose. The unit is responsible for gathering the information around planning and backlogs from the product domains and combine that into one plan.

Your main tasks are of course around Digital portfolio planning, but as we are growing rapidly, other activities such as supporting project and initiative delivery and facilitating timely management support where progress is blocked or at risk. It could also include participation in the election of new projects based on a reliable assessment of the value they will deliver. Other tasks as supporting team leaders to match people to the right projects, at the right time and actively look for opportunities to share learning, reuse work and build new capability across the portfolio.

What you’ll do

  • Develop the digital portfolio planning method to ensure the correct balance between short and long priorities as well as between functionality and technology
  • Drive the digital portfolio planning tool implementation and improvements
  • Owner of the overall Digital portfolio planning steering mechanisms, including reviewing and improving the process
  • Alignment of the strategy with the Digital organization and other business functions
  • Participates in the strategy work in close collaboration with the Digital Leadership team and ensures the optimal strategy execution continuously
  • A continuous dialogue with other functions to ensure consensus and proactivity around digital portfolio planning and participate in forums, both internally and outside the Digital organization
  • Drive priorities within and outside the Digital organizations

Who you are

  • You have a deep understanding of the steering mechanisms of a large, global corporation
  • Have a proven track record of 5-10 years in digital portfolio planning and strategy execution
  • Experience of and have a deep understanding of large agile organizations
  • You are a skilled people manager of projects and teams with experience in strength-based feedback
  • Skilled communicator with experience in forming alliances and bringing together multiple internal- and external stakeholders
  • Have the ability to create and communicate impactful decisions support and reports
  • You have a proven working experience in a global context and 10+ years of working within Digital
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Have a Bachelor’s degree from university or similar
