About Tech at Trustly

The Tech department drives the development of Trustly’s products. The teams collectively work with innovative ideas, development of products and platform and set the technical vision and strategy. 

The Tech department consists of about 100 people and in the Development department they are 80 people. Within Development They aim to be divided into value focused development streams with close collaboration with the Product department. All teams consist of product owners, analysts and development teams. They all work closely together to enable new products and features within existing products.

About the role

The development department at Trustly is now looking for an Engineering Manager. In this role you will be responsible for a team of approximately 12 developers. You will lead and coordinate the team and your main task is to make sure the team has the right prerequisites to deliver with excellence. The team works in an agile environment and you are responsible for enabling scalability and innovations and continuously reviewing both the technical needs and the business needs and make sure that they align with the company goals.

We are looking for a leader that continuously works towards creating a learning culture on a team and individual level, someone that inspires, coaches and supports their team. You will report to the VP development, be part of an active and competent tech management team and collaborate closely with product owners and other stakeholders. 

About you

To be successful in this role we believe that you have some years of experience within the leadership segment and are committed about what you do. You are also used to empower, support and enable your teams and you practice delegated leadership on a daily basis. From both a strategic and operational perspective you take lead and execute. You find your way in the organization and make sure you follow through.

We also think that you 

• have relevant academic degree in engineering or equivalent
• have experience working with a tech team
• have excellent communication skills and networking capabilities
• have experienced in the Agile methodology
• feel comfortable working in Jira, Confluence and other agile tools
• are fluent in English; other languages are a bonus
