About the Role

As the Chief Marketing Officer, you’ll spearhead our client’s global marketing activities and establish the framework for local marketing strategies. Your role involves leading a dynamic marketing team and overseeing key positions such as the Partner Marketing Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Digital Sales, Marketing Automation Coordinator, and Designer.

The CMO reports directly to the CEO and collaborates with regional sales directors, global sales partners, the CFO, and the COO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement global marketing strategies for B2B software products/services.
  • Analyze market trends and competitors for strategic growth.
  • Drive marketing plans, budgets, and campaigns for ambitious business objectives.
  • Assume global responsibility for branding and product marketing.
  • Collaborate and support regional teams in digital marketing, ensuring adherence to global best practices.
  • Lead the creation of engaging content, establishing thought leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and industry experts for compelling content.
  • Take charge of marketing analytics, ensuring positive ROI.
  • Evaluate market successes and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Implement and oversee digital marketing strategies aligned with global best practices.
  • Measure campaign effectiveness and adjust tactics as needed.
  • Prepare reports detailing key metrics, ROI, and campaign effectiveness.

As a member of the management group, you’ll be expected to set the standard, showcasing accountability, effective delegation, and a results-oriented mindset. Your emphasis on soft skills and fostering employee engagement will play a crucial role in cultivating a culture of High-Performing Teams.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has over 5 years of proven leadership experience in B2B SaaS/PaaS marketing, encompassing branding, product marketing, and digital marketing. As this role is pivotal in a growing company, you will be required to engage in both hands-on and strategic work and should be prepared to tackle forthcoming challenges. You may either possess prior management group experience or be on the brink of assuming your first CMO position.

  • Strong analytical skills with a history of working with performance metrics.
  • In-depth understanding of regional market conditions.
  • Preferable knowledge of product marketing in SaaS/PaaS.
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to lead strategy and teams.
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly growing IT product and service company.
  • Proactive, curious, committed, responsible, and an experienced communicator.
  • Positive can-do mindset, goal-oriented, and easy to cooperate with.
  • Well-acquainted with the dynamics of a fast-growing startup atmosphere.
  • Willingness to adapt, experiment, and iterate.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English with a professional level of fluency.
  • Knowledge of Finnish or Swedish is considered an asset.
