Chief Operations Officer

We are currently helping Iris a consumer tech startup in their search for a Chief Operations Officer.

Iris is a personal cooperating system that integrates apps, users, and communities. It’s designed to be the multiplayer dimension of the internet, focusing on co-creation and bringing together different elements in a seamless and interactive way. Iris aims to enhance the way we interact with digital content and each other, fostering a space for creativity, collaboration, and innovation.

Iris is not like any other technology, with the new possibilities with AI, they are building an advanced toolkit that fosters a vibrant, community-driven video society for limitless creativity, collaboration, and innovation. As of today, Iris toolkit consists of 17 different tools, among them a powerful and customized AI. 

This is an ambitious venture, backed by one of Europe’s top VCs. The founder is a well-known serial entrepreneur from the Swedish tech scene – with a background from co-founding a global app used by millions of people daily.

The Role

Our client operates on a global scale and has recently entered its launch phase. They are now complementing their management team with a new COO role. In this capacity, you will shape the future of the company by overseeing daily operations and driving growth while ensuring the realization of our client’s ambitious vision.

What you’ll do

• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to achieve company goals and objectives
• Collaborate with the CEO and other team members to set company direction, establish priorities, and allocate resources effectively
• Oversee the management of all departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the organization
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the   company
• Manage and develop a high-performing team, providing mentorship, guidance, and support to help them reach their full potential
• You will complement a visionary CEO with your critical thinking, and outstanding structural and project management skills and enable the company to scale

Who you are

You are engaged and driven, with the ability to establish structure in a fast-moving scale-up environment. You are an effective change agent, capable of evolving current structures and implementing new approaches with empathy and involvement. You are unafraid to ask why, to challenge, and to see tasks through to completion. Furthermore, you possess:

• Proven experience in a COO or similar leadership role, preferably in the technology or creative industries
• Strong understanding of the digital landscape, including social media, content creation, and online communities
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful operational strategies and drive growth
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Be comfortable with a remote culture and the freedom to work from wherever you want
