Interim IT Operations

We are urgently seeking an interim consultant for an IT Operations role for an established finance company in a regulated market. 

You will enter an established organization and ensure continuity and stability. The focus will be on creating a secure and stable operational environment with regard to information security, performance, robustness, and latency. 

The environment is primarily Linux and on-premises-based. 

You will report to the Head of IT Operations and support him in different areas and together with the infrastructure team, ensure smooth operations of the IT environment which is critical for their business. At times, you will need to be able to step in as dep Head of IT Operations and that includes handling incidents and urgent matters.

Responsibilities:

• Support the IT Operations group to ensure the company’s IT environment, including infrastructure and security arrangements, is operated according to SLAs.
• Ensure that relevant governance documentation and processes are in place according to requirements.
• Act as Incident Manager
• Support the customer support function with structure and expertice
• Develop and maintain security arrangements in collaboration with the CISO.
• Assist members and integrators on technical issues, and ensure the necessary IT support function and service.
• Review and approve the classification of the company’s digital information based on confidentiality, integrity, and accessibility perspectives.

Your background:

You have extensive experience from IT operations, and as a first choice we look for candidates with experience in the finance market in one way or another, ideally exchange, trading or fintech with high volumes and focus on uptime, avoiding incidents etc. Since the company is somewhat smaller, a consultant is needed who is not afraid to help with operational tasks themselves.

You probably have your background in an IT Operations team and are knowledgeable in most aspects of infrastructure and operations. Beneficial if you have experience working with DevOps processes and refinement and governance processes and routines.
