Group IT Director

In this strategically important leadership role, you won’t just support our international growth, you’ll help define the structure and culture of a modern, decentralized digital transformation company. As Group IT Director, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our internal platforms and tools enable our business across borders.

About the Role

In this role, you will report to Solita’s executive team and take on a group-wide leadership role in shaping and coordinating IT across countries and business areas. You will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, from end users to C-level executives, to ensure that the company’s internal platforms are integrated, scalable, and aligned with real business needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and executing the IT roadmap for core internal systems
• Ensuring effective coordination between local and group-level requirements, with a focus on harmonization, scalability, and readiness for future acquisitions.
• Overseeing system architecture, software asset management, and security, collaborating closely with in-house technical expertise.
• Empowering and leading a 20-person distributed IT team across the Nordics, with 3–5 direct reports.
• Acting as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring the right data is available in the right systems to support daily operations and long-term growth.
• Driving cost-conscious, fit-for-purpose solutions that balance strategic direction with day-to-day needs.
• Building governance structures, communication channels, and accountability frameworks across IT domains.

This role requires close collaboration across multiple geographies and functions. You will play a key role in supporting Solita’s sustainable growth by aligning tools, people, and priorities—turning complexity into structure and vision into execution.

You bring a rare combination of strategic vision and hands-on delivery focus. You understand what it takes to lead in a growing international company, and you know how to balance local autonomy with group-wide alignment.

We believe you have:

• Solid leadership experience from a mid- to large-scale organization, ideally with exposure to international expansion and M&A-related integration work.
• A proven ability to lead IT initiatives across ERP, CRM, HR, or other business-critical platforms—delivering systems that work not just in theory, but in practice.
• A strong grasp of system architecture, IT governance, and security, paired with the ability to guide others through complexity with clarity.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build consensus across diverse teams and geographies.
• Fluency in English required. Nordic language skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Experience working with Microsoft-based environments, while remaining technology-agnostic and focused on business value.
• A structured, cost-conscious, and data-informed mindset.
• Experience from a similar context, such as consulting, digital professional services, or other people-centric, tech-driven industries, is highly desirable.
