Chief Product Officer

About the role

As Chief Product Officer, you are responsible for setting Qbtech’s product direction and ensuring that product strategy, technology choices, development, and business priorities are aligned — while safeguarding clinical validity, regulatory integrity, and long-term trust in how Qbtech’s products are used in real clinical decision-making.

In this role, you will:

• Lead the second largest department within Qbtech and support overall leadership for Qbtech as a member of Qbtech’s leadership team
• Own and evolve Qbtech’s overall product strategy, ensuring alignment between clinical, regulatory, technical, and commercial priorities
• Lead product strategy, development, and delivery across the full product lifecycle, with accountability for product performance, quality, compliance, and commercial outcomes
• Define and maintain a clear, credible product roadmap that balances innovation with evidence, consistency, and regulatory requirements
• Guide the introduction of new products, services, and platform capabilities across Qbtech’s portfolio
• Ensure that product decisions support clinician confidence, correct interpretation, and meaningful clinical outcomes
• Navigate the inherent tension between speed, experimentation, evidence, and trust in a regulated healthcare environment
• Work closely with IT, Medical, and Commercial functions to align priorities and execution
• Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of quality processes, regulatory documentation, and product-related narratives
• Manage and develop supplier relationships relevant to product development and delivery
• Represent product strategy and priorities in executive leadership, board, and investor-related discussions

This role is part of the executive leadership team, reports to the CEO, and operates in an international and regulated environment spanning Europe, the United States, New Zealand, and Australia.

About you

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in leading larger product organisations in medtech, healthtech, or other regulated or technically complex industries
• Can define and evolve product strategy together with executive leadership and internal stakeholders
• Balances near-term delivery with longer-term product planning
• Leads and develops multidisciplinary teams with clear priorities and ways of working
• Has experience delivering products used in European and US healthcare markets
• Takes ownership of quality processes and product documentation in regulated environments
• Works confidently with regulatory frameworks, audits, and quality systems
• Hands-on experience from software development or technical product delivery, with involvement in technical and architectural discussions
• Has commercial exposure, such as budget responsibility or close collaboration with commercial teams
• Is comfortable representing product topics in executive, board, or investor-related discussions
