Engineering leadership is one of the key pieces they’re putting in position as they accelerate.

The role

The VP Engineering leads a sizeable engineering organisation and sits in a cross-functional leadership team, reporting into technical leadership with close proximity to the founders. You’d be the engineering anchor across a complex, multi-disciplinary part of the business – someone who understands the technical depth and can translate it into commercial clarity. The foundation is there; the job is to raise the ceiling.

This is a hands-on leadership role. Presence and proximity matter, and you’ll be expected to be around, to be visible, and to lead from the front.

• You’ve built and led engineering organisations before and know how to develop them without letting process get ahead of progress.
• You’re technically credible without needing to prove it – your teams respect your judgment, not your commit history.
• You’re as comfortable in a commercial conversation as a technical one.
• You know when structure helps and when it gets in the way.
• You come from product- and tech-led environments where speed and quality coexist.
• You’re drawn to hard, optimisation-heavy problems and find them energising rather than daunting.
