Development Manager

The Development Manager at Intrum is a senior technology leader responsible for driving engineering excellence, end-to-end delivery, and operational stability across digital products and platforms. Heading a department of roughly 150 professionals, this leader will play a pivotal role in Intrum’s ongoing IT-modernization journey by shaping modern ways of working, introducing AI transformation to boost productivity and bridging software development, infrastructure, and IT service management.

• Team Leadership
  Leads, mentors, and develops an international organization of cross-functional teams.
• Modernization & AI
  Champions modern engineering, automation, and AI integration to elevate development velocity and quality.
• Operational Excellence
  Connects development, infrastructure, and ITIL-aligned operations to ensure scalable, reliable, and predictable product delivery.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
  Partners with stakeholders and IT managers across Intrum Group to align engineering outputs with business value.

Candidate Qualifications

• Technical Background
  Extensive software engineering experience, including prior hands-on background as a developer or engineer.
• Methodologies & Practices
  Strong knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe), DevOps/DevSecOps, Lean principles and CI/CD pipelines. Practical experience from agentic development and introduction of AI tools and processes. 
• Architecture & Infrastructure
  Proficiency in cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, microservices, APIs and event-driven systems.
• Leadership & Mindset
  Proven track record of managing large, international teams; strong organizational navigation skills and a growth-oriented, people-first leadership style.
