Together with Kauppalehti Toimitilat and Toimitilat.fi in Finland, it forms Alma Media’s commercial property marketplace business in the Nordics. Objektvision has around 25 employees and combines entrepreneurial drive and fast decisions with the stability and expertise of Nasdaq Helsinki-listed Alma Media. The business is highly profitable and delivers double-digit growth.

About the role

As CTO, you report to the Head of Objektvision, join the executive management team and own technology and engineering. You work closely with the CPO and the Data & AI Lead and act as a strategic technology partner to the business.

A major platform investment has largely been completed. Your task is to realize its value, deliver the remaining scope, address technical debt and lead the shift to AI-native engineering and ways of working.

This is hands-on leadership. You lead complex technical decisions yourself, develop technical leadership in others and build empowered teams that own solutions and results within clear guardrails.

In the role you will:

• Enable tenant needs, matching and the landlord journey through shared technical capabilities
• Embed AI across engineering and show shorter lead times, increased capacity and maintained or improved quality
• Own architecture, platform engineering, operations, security, reliability and technology cost across three marketplaces
• Recruit, coach and develop engineers, set technical guardrails and secure knowledge transfer from consultants
• Align roadmap and capacity with Product and Data & AI, manage budget and suppliers, and make trade-offs clear

The responsibilities in the leadership team complement each other:

• The CTO owns technology and engineering.
• The CPO owns product strategy, discovery, priorities and customer outcomes.
• The Data & AI Lead owns shared data and AI capabilities, quality and governance.

About you

You have led meaningful change in a digital product business. Engineers trust your judgement, and you connect technology with customer value and business priorities. You probably have:

• A substantial engineering background, typically ten or more years, including five or more as CTO, VP Engineering or an equivalent leader
• Technical depth in architecture, cloud platforms, integrations and operations
• Measurable transformation results, including AI applied in real delivery and changed ways of working
• A coaching leadership style that develops people, delegates decisions and builds accountability
• The ability to thrive in a small organisation across disciplines and locations
• Fluent English
• Fluency in Swedish and/or Finnish and experience moving platforms towards transactions or new revenue models is meriting but not required. 

Demonstrated results matter more than title or tenure.
