Head of Tech (AI)

Our client, one of the leading investment firms in the Nordics, is investing in building its own AI capability. They are now looking for a senior builder to lead the technical work and make it happen.

The role

You create the firm’s internal AI tools and the foundation they run on, from infrastructure and a knowledge layer where the firm’s data is gathered, to the applications on top. Working with the firm’s IT function, you shape the architecture and set the technical direction from day one.

You’ll prototype quickly, test ideas with the people who will use the tools, and turn what works into reliable solutions.

The intention is to grow a small team of two to three people over time, and you will be the first.

About you

• You have a strong engineering background, understand the whole stack, and have built things yourself
• You work hands-on with the latest AI tools and have experience with large language models
• You can explain technical choices clearly to people who are not engineers
• You are based in Stockholm and want to work mainly on site

You may be an experienced engineer who has gone deep into AI over the past few years, perhaps as a founder, an early employee or an independent developer. Or you may have led tech teams, as a CTO, head of engineering or architect, and found that today’s AI tools have pulled you back into hands-on work. Either way, what draws you is creating something yourself again, with real ownership of the result.
